August Bank Holiday - Steamer Quay, Totnes

We decided not to go to far for the Bank Holiday as s we were looking to move house so needed to be nearby.  We were booked into the Caravan Club site at Steamer Quay in Totnes, just half an hour away from home.

It was an awful day with thunderstorms and very heavy raing.  When we arrived we were told a lot of campers had left that morning because of the weather and some of the pitches were waterlogged.  We found a dry pitch and soon had the kettle on and were cooking dinner.

The next morning, the rain had stopped but the sky was threatening more rain.  We decided to go into Totnes town, this is only a stroll across the bridge.  However the town is on a steep hill with little independant shops either side but great for exploring.  Several hours later we had exhausted the shops and were back at the van ready for something to eat.

Billy cooked us a lovely Paella.
